Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the views of J. Bentham, an English philosopher, lawyer, founder of the doctrine of utilitarianism, who played an important role in the formation of English liberalism of the 18th century, but whose works were almost “forgotten” in the post-Soviet space, including Uzbekistan, from the 1920s to the 1990s due to the attitude of K. Marx to the work of this thinker.
Taking into account the extremely wide range of scientific studies of the thinker, the article analyzes his views on economics.
