The article aims to research the issues that are being implemented and should be implemented in order to improve the efficiency of local government bodies. The importance of the provisions aimed at ensuring the independence of local state power in the new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the essence of the Presidential Decree aimed at implementing the norms of the Constitution have been analyzed.
